Duncan Parker – Managing Director of Partner firm Ethical Goods Ltd
Duncan is also CEO of a small micro finance charity, shareholder and ambassador for Crowdfunder.co.uk and trustee and founder of two anti-trafficking charities. He has a unique academic and professional background in International Development within the third sector and the commercial world. Duncan's previous roles include field work in Africa, Americas and Asia, appointed the International Development Director for The Salvation Army (UK), Managing Director for an African Agricultural investment fund and running his own consultancy.
Nikolaus Hutter – Founder of Partner firm New Paradigm Ventures
NPV is an advisory firm focused on accelerating the shift to an impact driven economy. Nikolaus advises the WWF on Impact Ventures & Investment in Switzerland and Greece, is a Director for impact investment firm Susterra Capital, and serves on the Board of Heifer International in the US and the Hungarian Impact Investors Association. Together with Impact Hub Vienna, he co-founded the Investment Ready Program, an accelerator for social innovators, and the CEE Impact Day, an annual gathering for impact investors and social innovators in CEE. Prior, he led the impact investor network Toniic in Europe and worked in the VC industry for over a decade.
Malcolm Johnston is Director and a founder in Angello in 2008. He was formerly CEO of a specialist investment management business with funds of over £400m. Malcolm has 30+ years of experience in frontier communities and markets, building NGO, enterprise development and impact investment projects and advised companies in Singapore and Washington DC. He continues to be active in several businesses.
Paul Lindsay is a Director in Angello. Since 2004 he has been involved with an Eastern European NGO in a pioneer role. He is a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a trustee for Operation Mobilisation UK, a trustee for Bede House in Southwark, London and the Chair of the Board for Youth for Christ Moscow Region, Russia. Paul has recently retired as a Partner from an international construction consultancy based in London to take up other challenges.
Ian MacCorkell is an advisor and was a founder of Angello. He is a Commercial Lawyer and founder of the niche legal practice of MacCorkell Legal & Commercial. Ian has been involved in strategic development projects nationally and internationally. His particular interest is to use business skill to impact poverty in developing nations. Ian advises on legal, business and enterprise issues and is involved in business development and leadership training in Northern Ireland, Kosovo, Moldova & India.
Valerie McMullan is a Director in Angello. She was formerly CFO of a specialist investment management business with funds of over £400m.She has worked closely with communities in Uganda to build schools, set up village microfinance and support primary and secondary school education. She is also a foster parent and works with youth projects in Northern Ireland.
Hakan Sandberg is an entrepreneur who breeds entrepreneurs through a concept of incubators set up locally, owned and run by local certified partners all connected through the organization Itzinya Networks. He specializes in young entrepreneurs in developing countries and displaced people in Europe.
Previously founder and CEO of a top ranked Soft Skills Company in Turkey. Hakan has 20+ years experience in leadership development and is a certified business coach.
In 1999, Peter established a software company which now has offices in Belfast, Dublin and London. Over the past few years he has also been working with refugee communities living in both Athens and Belfast - initially supporting aid provision but more recently seeking to support enterprise-led development. Prior to his current role, Peter worked in manufacturing and consultancy roles.
Ralph Catto – Chairman of Partner firm Ethical Goods Ltd
Ralph Catto is an Investment Professional with 10+ years of experience in the City of London, then founding Guiding Capital. He founded Housing Partners and serves as Chairman of a business providing software and services to the UK’s social housing sector, which annually improves housing conditions for tens of thousands of households. He was a trustee of Transformational Business Network for 10 years and has been active in enterprise led development for approaching 20 years.
John Heaslip is the former CEO of Business in the Community NI, which is a not-for-profit coalition of over 250 companies committed to responsible business who have been at the heart of creating innovative programmes to tackle youth unemployment. John has significant business experience, particularly in CSR programmes and in retail & distribution.
Reuben Coulter – CEO of Partner firm Transformational Business Network
TBN is a pioneering enterprise led development and impact investor in Africa and Asia. Prior to this he was a Fellow and Associate Director for Africa at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland. He has also been the founding CEO of Tearfund Ireland, an international development organisation, Chair of the Irish Humanitarian Committee and advisor to Oxford Ventures, a social enterprise consultancy.
Kim Tan – Co-Founder of Partner firm Transformational Business Network
Kim Tan is a serial biotech and social entrepreneur. Kim is a partner in a number of social impact funds including Inqo Investments (South Africa), Novastar Ventures (East Africa), and Garden Impact (Singapore) funds. He is on the advisory boards of Johnson & Johnson Trust’s social impact fund and the John Templeton Foundation. He is also the initiator of the Kuzuko Game Reserve, a conservation and social transformation project in an area of high unemployment.

Jim Wright – Director and co-founder of Partner firm Angello Opportunity Caucasus
Jim Wright has been involved in leadership development and impact investing in former Soviet countries since 2006. During his career, has had various executive roles in blue chip companies. Jim now runs his own consultancy business and sits on the Boards of several organisations. He has been an adviser to Angello projects for over 5 years and involved in Transformational Business Network.
Sheila has been working in an executive assistance role with Malcolm Johnston for over 22 years through business and charitable projects and has been involved with Angello since its inception. Her role across all of the Angello activities includes supporting corporate governance, accounting & book-keeping, and project development.
Eugenia Clapaniuc – Director of Partner firm Angello Investment Company (Moldova)
Eugenia Clapaniuc was formerly an economist and master in accounting and auditing. She had 15 years of experience in commerce and sales. Then for 19 years Eugenia has been a financial manager and economic expert for a network of NGOs and Commercial Companies from Republic of Moldova. Eugenia played a key role in managing some of the first private equity investment into Moldovan SMEs.
Ghenadie Mitrofanov – Director of Partner firm Angello Investment Company (Moldova)
Ghenadie is Founder and CEO of Postmodern SRL which is an engineering company based in Moldova. He has had 20+ years of experience in business, social projects and education. Ghenadie is President of Business Forward Moldova (an association of businessmen) and of 2 significant Moldovan Professional bodies engaged in the construction sector. Ghenadie has worked with external private equity investors and regularly advises and mentors local entrepreneurs.
Peter Edgar is founder of vekkelse, a design venture based in Belfast. He started his career growing innovation communities, with responsibility for managing several entrepreneurial programmes. He specialises in design thinking, building startup teams and creating networks.
